Back in the Saddle Again

Wow. I can't believe how long it has been since I last posted something! I apologize for my not-at-all brief hiatus. So, what's my excuse? I wish I had a good reason. Mainly I just got busy. I know that's a pretty lame reason, but between the Bead and Button Show, the Metal Clay World Conference, working on my Art Clay Senior Certification, and getting a new job, I was sort of swamped. Hmmm, when I put it that way I guess I did have a few things keeping me away from the computer. I will try and be better about posting now that things have settled down.

So, what sort of things do I have coming up that will surely keep me away from the computer? I'm glad you asked. The Art Glass and Bead Show is coming up in March. It's a good warm-up for the Bead and Button show in June. If you're in the area I would definitely recommend a trip to Madison for the weekend. These are the classes I'm taking:
The silver earrings workshop with Kay Rascha
The orbital weave chain maille bracelet with one of my favorite instructors ever, Diane Miller. If you get a chance to take a class with Diane do not hesitate. She is wonderful! My mother and I took our first ever chain maille class with her about 5 years ago. Since then, every year we attend the show we try to take at least one class with her. She's funny, friendly, and incredibly talented. You can check out her work and her shop at Diane Miller Designs.

Epoxy Clays with Debbie Simon
I am thrilled to take this class, although I have a feeling I am quickly going to be hooked on using epoxy clays.
When I return I will be sure to post pictures of my finished creations.
