Create silver jewelry the easy way—with metal clay! This flexible medium can be rolled, stamped, and manipulated like traditional clay, but becomes pure silver once fired in a kiln. Students will use vintage buttons and other materials to create silicone molds, then use the molds to create the silver designs. Learn the techniques and create your own nature-inspired piece!
In this class, you will learn:
Proper metal clay techniques
How to create a silicone mold
How to set a gemstone in the clay
Supplies: All supplies and tools will be provided. Students will have enough clay to make 3-5 pieces, depending on size.
Finished pieces will be fired by instructor and mailed to participants within one week of class.
