I've started making my new favorite things - rings! At a recent craft show someone asked if I could make a
custom ring using the Chinese character for wisdom. Of course I said, "Sure!" I've made a couple rings before...2 using PMC, which for some reason I can never get to come out the right size. All metal clay shrinks, but the PMC rings I made never quite shrank as much as they were supposed to, so I kind of decided maybe rings weren't for me.

When I took my Art Clay certification course, I had to make another ring. This one turned out perfectly! The exact right size. So I revised my decision and thought I could make rings...but I never did. So I'm so glad that this customer requested a ring, because I had the best time working on it. And I think they turned out pretty nicely, if I do say so myself.
So...if you're looking for a ring let me know! I've got ring fever, and I'm ready for some more ideas.
I'm really into the Asian themed jewelry right now. After I created these rings I made these
metal clay bamboo earrings, which are gorgeous! They are accented with faceted sea green chalcedony, which makes me think of a beautiful beach. I'm definitely going to do more with these stones - soon!
